Worksite Wellness
“Get happiness out of your work or you may never know what happiness is.” Elbert Hubbard
Is your company struggling to get started with a wellness plan? Not sure what “wellness in the workplace” even looks like? Here you will find suggestions, as well as links to more detailed websites that Trinity enjoys.
Vending: Check out what you are providing in your vending machines. There are many healthy snack items available, and we would be happy to bring some healthy vending companies to you.
Break Room: Foster your company’s healthy initiatives by putting up a wellness bulletin board and leaving a healthy snack basket for all to share. Stock it with fresh fruit, nuts, and low-fat crackers and pretzels in single serving sizes. Require 25-50 cents to be left for each item.
Find a Friend: Enlist a walking buddy to take walk breaks during the day. Use this same person as an accountability partner for healthy lunches and snacks.
Ask for a Discount: See if your company can get a reduced corporate rate at a local gym. Then your “friend” can take a class with you before or after work.
Leave the Junk at Home: Ask your fellow employees to leave their ”Aunt Millie’s Red Velvet Cake” leftovers at home, so that you won’t be tempted to over-indulge.
